Abstract
La teoría clásica de portafolios de Harry Markowitz es un referente de la teoría básica para la construcción de portafolios. Sin embargo, en el trascurso del tiempo ha tenido críticas por los supuestos que plantea la metodología, lo cual ha generado el desarrollo de diversos modelos que permiten la selección de portafolios óptimos; entre estos, Fischer Black y Robert Litterman desarrollaron un modelo que parte del modelo clásico de Markowitz e incluye las opiniones del mercado.
En este trabajo aplicaremos ambas teorías a una canasta de acciones seleccionadas del índice Russell 3000, compararemos e identificaremos cuál de las dos metodologías ofrece una mayor flexibilidad para que el administrador del portafolio tome la mejor decisión.
