Abstract
Este artículo analiza la probabilidad de sobrevivir que tiene una firma nueva en el mercado en sus primeros cinco años de actividades. Se estudian las condiciones macro y micro que experimentaron estas empresas en Bogotá durante su primer lustro. El estudio revela que hay indicios para afirmar que el tamaño óptimo de entrada es el de pymes. This paper analyzes the probability of new business survival within the first five years of existence. It studies the macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions that influence the survival probability of start-ups in Bogota. One of the paper’s most important conclusions is that the firms with the highest probability of survival are SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises).
