| dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación encuentra los factores que influyen en la popularidad y el precio de los hoteles en cinco ciudades principales de Colombia. El documento identifica las variables y la magnitud en la que éstas pueden variar el precio de las habitaciones por noche de los establecimientos, además reconoce la importancia de la calidad del servicio y la reputación en línea del hotel. En general busca dar herramientas a los dueños y gerentes de los hoteles para crear estrategias que les permitan entregar un mejor servicio y ser reconocidos en las plataformas en línea. Entre los hallazgos más significativos están las relaciones positivas entre la calificación y volumen de comentarios de un hotel con su precio; la popularidad y este mismo valor, y cómo la ubicación puede afectar la calificación. Estas mismas características las analiza en diferentes regiones. | spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This research finds the factors that influence the popularity and price of hotels in five major cities in Colombia. The document identifies the variables and the magnitude in which these can affect the price of rooms per night of the establishments, and also recognizes the importance of the quality of service and the online reputation of the hotel. In general, it seeks to provide hotel owners and managers with tools to create strategies that allow them to deliver better service and be recognized on online platforms. Among the most significant findings are the positive relationships between a hotel's rating and volume of reviews with its price; popularity and this same value, and how location can affect the rating.
