dc.description.abstractenglishThis research explores the deployment of immersive technologies in the tourism sector to identify specific, cost-effective, and replicable alternatives and strategies to enrich the field of human-centred experiences. This article studies the current landscape of these studies to establish a spectrum of methodologies and resources associated with this phenomenon by using bibliographic information and network analysis to identify and categorize key topics in this field. The study draws on 664 peer-reviewed articles indexed in the Scopus database, covering the period 2000–2024, which were analysed to capture trends and clusters in XR-tourism researcheng
